De Monnik Dranken starts exclusive partnership with Filey Bay whisky from the 21st of October 2024

De Monnik Dranken will start a new partnership with Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery in the Netherlands beginning Monday, October 21st, 2024. This collaboration includes the exclusive import of Filey Bay whisky for the Dutch market. As a distinguished English whisky brand with roots deeply embedded in the Yorkshire countryside, Filey Bay is known for its exceptional craftsmanship and unique flavour profiles. This partnership marks a unique expansion for the family-owned business from Oldenzaal, as Filey Bay will become the first English whisky brand to join the company's portfolio in its history.

De Monnik Dranken (DMD) is a family-owned company, founded in 1918 and currently run by the 4th generation. The company is a respected importer, beverage wholesaler and brand builder for the Dutch market. Throughout the years the company has grown into employing over 140 people and has build up a high quality portfolio of wines and spirits from over 35 different countries. In December 2018, DMD received the prestigious "Royal" designation from the King's Commissioner in Overijssel, and in 2020, it was named Spirits Distributor of the Year by The Spirits Business Awards.

Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, the creator of Filey Bay whisky, is a renowned single estate producer based in the heart of Yorkshire. Established with a passion for traditional craftsmanship and a commitment to quality, the distillery has gained acclaim for its innovative approach to whisky production. The use of 100% homegrown barley from the family’s farm and the meticulous aging process contribute to the distinct character of Filey Bay whisky, which has been celebrated by whisky enthusiasts around the globe.
